Walmart’s Sham Sexual Harassment Policy

I am currently a Walmart employee at the Supercenter in Niagara Falls.  A few months ago, I was sexually harassed by a co-worker numerous times.  Not only would he do it while we were working, but he would also go to local spots I would be at and try to bother me while I was out with my friends and boyfriend.  I used the “open door” policy and the only response I received when I followed up with the member of management I filed my report with was, “He must just really like you” and “He is just being very persistent.”  Those comments irked me, I was already working at another store and informed them about the situation and they offered me full-time.  I felt and still feel very uncomfortable working around him (because I still have 4 days left there), and come to find out he has been sexually harassing another co-worker of mine and she was given the same response.  Not only does he harass my female co-workers, but he does absolutely nothing while working.  Half the time you can’t tell if he’s on the clock or on a break.  I’m thankful that my other job was willing to give me full-time and save me from that place and its “policies.”  However, I still find it unfair that this guy was able to get away with 2 reports of sexual harassment; not to mention any that may have went undocumented.
