The Anti-Family Walmart
The phrase “respect for the individual” went out the door after Sam died. The company used to be a family friendly environment. Not anymore. The managers in some of these stores treat their employees like dirt. They belittle them and they push them hard to get things done while they just stand there and watch. When a co-worker’s father was sick and he took two weeks off to care for him he got flack for something that happened while he was away. A few months later when his father passed and he took time off again, he was written up for poor job performance and demoted. Walmart may be good for their customers, but not so much for their employees. They work hard and they deserve better from one of the largest companies in the world.
