Efforts To Go Green Are Going Nowhere
I find Walmart’s attempts to go green to be one big joke. In their attempt to go green they decided that we are no longer allowed to have a paper pay stub, we have to run one off on the computer. Two things come to mind: 1) If we have to print it off on the computer, we are still using paper, its just not paper that Walmart has to PAY for, and 2) There are some things,like credit checks for an apartment, and some government assistance programs that are not going to accept some piece of paper printed on your computer because anyone that knows how to use Microsoft Office can print out a legitimate looking pay stub. Also, if they are so concerned about the environment why do they annually throw away thousands of dollars in plastic toys that could be donated to charity or put to good use instead of sitting in a landfill somewhere? Seems to me it has little to do with preserving the environment and a lot to do with preserving their money.
